Careers
Build your career at DGS
We hire specialists and keep them for a long time. Here is what is open, how we hire and what to expect.
Why DGS
A group small enough to notice you, structured enough to grow you
DGS Group runs three operating businesses under one governance standard. That means a career here can move sideways as well as up — from a rentals desk into portfolio management, from a site post into control-room supervision — without leaving the group.
- Average tenure across salaried staff is over five years.
- Every role has a written scope, a reporting line and measurable objectives from day one.
- Regulatory registrations and trade certification are funded by the group.
- Directors are accessible; escalation is one step, not four.

Currently hiring
Roles are listed as they open. If nothing fits, send a speculative application — we keep them on file for twelve months.
01
Portfolio Manager — Sectional Title
Run a portfolio of eight to twelve schemes: trustee meetings, budgets, levy rolls and maintenance planning. Requires three years of managing-agent experience and a working knowledge of the Sectional Titles Schemes Management Act.
02
Sales Agent — Residential
Full mandate ownership from valuation to transfer, supported by in-house marketing, photography and a qualified buyer database. Registration with the regulator and a valid FFC required.
03
Rentals Administrator
Tenant vetting, lease administration, inspections and monthly reconciliation for a growing rental book. Detail and follow-through matter more than years of experience.
04
Control Room Operator
Twelve-hour shift rotation monitoring camera positions and alarm signals, with verified-response dispatch. PSIRA grade C or above and clean record required.
05
Site Supervisor — Guarding
Manage manning schedules, post orders and quality checks across three to five client sites. Own transport and a supervisory background in guarding are essential.
06
Qualified Butcher
Primal breakdown, portion control and counter presentation to a fixed spec. Formal trade training plus experience with restaurant-grade cuts and cold-chain discipline.
What we offer
The deal, plainly stated
01
Specialists, not generalists
We hire people to do one thing well and give them the tools and mandate to do it. You will not be spread across four unrelated functions to fill a gap.
02
Real progression
Structured six-month reviews with written objectives. Portfolio managers, supervisors and senior agents in the group were promoted from within.
03
Training that is paid for
Regulatory registrations, industry certification and trade upskilling are funded by DGS where the role requires them, including exam and renewal fees.

Answers
Career questions
01You have no role that matches my experience — should I still apply?
Yes. We keep speculative applications on file for twelve months and review them first when a role opens. Tell us which of the three businesses interests you and why.
02Do you take on graduates or learners?
We run a small number of learnership positions each year in property administration and butchery. These are advertised here and filled from applications received during the preceding months.
03How is remuneration structured?
Salaried roles are benchmarked annually against the market. Sales roles combine a base retainer with commission, disclosed in full at offer stage — never after.
Ready to apply?
Send your CV and tell us which role — or which business — you are aiming at. Every application is acknowledged.
